MARYKNOLL PILGRIMAGE RETREAT 2012

The Maryknoll Pilgrimage/Retreat to Central America is open to Bishops, Priests, Brothers, and Deacons.  Participants will visit the various sacred places where church people lived and worked, and where they were martyred in Central America.

Retreatants will have the opportunity of meeting and engaging in conversation with missioners, as well as local church people living and working in Central America, oftentimes in very challenging circumstances.

They will visit the graves of Archbishop Romero, Fr. Stan Rother, priest of the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City, Bishop Gerardi of Guatemala, the martyred Religious women, including two Maryknoll Sisters, the Jesuits and their companions, as well as others who gave their lives in witness to the Gospel.

Dates: January 16-27, 2012.  Participants should make their own travel arrangements and arrive in Guatemala City on January 16, 2012 before 6:00 p.m.  Pickup at the airport will be provided.

Accommodations: individual private room with shower; common bath; great food

Cost: Program fee of $600.00 ($100.00 non-refundable registration fee and balance paid upon arrival in Guatemala) plus airfare fee.  Program fee covers all costs, including meals, accommodations, transportation in Guatemala and to El Salvador, facilitation and stipends.  In addition, this fee covers extensive reading materials.

Box 305, Maryknoll, NY 10545-0305. The balance of $500.00 is due upon arrival in Guatemala.

Passports & immunizations: Participants in the Pilgrimage/Retreat  will need a valid passport (no visa required for Guatemala).  All participants should consult their physician regarding immunizations.
